meaningless?

hello blog...

it has been 2 months since i started working, 4 and 1/2 months since ord and 11 months since i've started this not so private journal of mine...

life has been predictable and i have had such a major mental block cause i haven't been able to have time to sit down and reflect and ponder... been preoccupied and cooped up within my own predictable little bubble so much that i haven't been able to pay attention to things going on around this social circle that i have been put into... life has always been cut up and divided uniformly into nice convenient packets of time and our state of existence has been defined by the social and moral obligations that we are trained to adhere to. we become identified by our social status and occupation, and fight tooth and nail to ensure our survival in it and through it, creating a web of interdependence that is so intricate we don't bother to even think about it... i have realized that we are vulnerable creatures who hold onto our very own little niches that we have spent our entire lives trying to create, hoarding our wealth and gathering circles and networks of people and organizations that are useful to us.. without this, we feel empty... we try to find satisfaction in earning money, doing well in things we commit ourselves to, seeking pleasures in our little hobbies and indulging in fruits of all the labor that we toil so much for... we seek approval and respect all our lives in the hope of finding meaning for what we devote our time to... we do all of the above, and eventually we die, taking nothing from all of our toil with us into our graves... everything becomes useless to us and we try to comfort ourselves by thinking that all we have labored for is for the benefit of the future and posterity... but little do we realize that with the exception of a privileged few, whose names and works are preserved in references and records that we keep, the rest of us become forgotten soon after we are gone... reduced to a pile of ash or bones and laid to rest for eternity... life continues within this little framework that we divide into convenient and uniform pockets of time...

all becomes vanity...

thankfully there is God who gives eternity...

thanks for reading if you've come this far... i promise i will write happier stuff next time...

ps. btw i am not trying to write some pseudo matrix philosophy so stop cringing... this is just a blog and i am less educated than some of you... so you can laugh at my poor command of english or my lack of wit all you want...
